Election Dates 2024
The 2024 Primary Election will be held on May 21, 2024 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
The voter registration deadline for the Primary Election will be April 22, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
Vote Early: In-Person Absentee Voting Without Excuse
Any registered voter of the county who has not requested a mail-in absentee ballot may cast an in-person absentee ballot at any of the six county voting centers for any reason. The locations will be open from 8:30am – 4:30pm on May 16th, 17th and 18th. The voting centers will be at:
Beaumont Branch Library – 3080 Fieldstone Way, 40513
Central Library – 140 East Main Street, 40507
Eastside Branch Library – 3000 Blake James Drive, 40509
Northside Branch Library – 1733 Russell Cave Road, 40505
Tates Creek Library – 3628 Walden Drive, 40517
Marksbury Family Branch Library – 2185 Versailles Road, 40504
In-Person Absentee Voting With Qualifying Excuse
Any registered voter of the county with a qualifying excuse (see below) who has not requested a mail-in absentee ballot may cast his/her in-person absentee ballot at the Fayette County Clerk’s Office, 162 E Main St, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the following days:
- May 8th – May 10th and May 13th – May 15th
Mail-In Absentee Voting
The dates the absentee portal will be open for the May 21, 2024 Primary Election will be April 6th – May 7th. All requests must be made by 11:59 p.m. on May 7, 2024. You may access the portal at GoVoteKY.com
You may return your ballot by mail or in the ballot drop box located in front of the Fayette County Clerk’s Office at 162 E Main St. All ballots must reach the Fayette County Clerk’s office by 6:00 p.m. on election day to be counted.
